Bonus Material Available: Unpublished Chapter from The Man Who Sent the SOS

First page of The Rope Swing, a bonus chapter to The Man Who Sent the SOS

It's always great when a writer gets a second chance--and this is one of those moments. While writing The Man Who Sent the SOS, I spent a great deal of time working on a chapter that introduced Jack as a young boy. And although I ultimately felt the book would be better served if this prologue--called The Rope Swing--were removed, a part of me was heartbroken because I really enjoyed being able to share some "happier" times with Jack--at a point in his life when the most pressing challenge he faced was figuring out how best to "one-up" his friend, George! :) However, since the thought of having the chapter gather cyber dust in my laptop wasn't appetizing, either, I've decided to make it available to subscribers on my mailing list, as a way of saying thanks.

The chapter also contains a breakdown of exactly how I went about writing it--including detailed entries from my journal, where I describe the many past-life regressions I underwent, as the scenes unfolded before my eyes. I also go into the many steps I took trying to validate the information, which revealed that my "memories" were, in fact, accurate.

In all, it comes to 19 pages of new material.

So, if you were moved by the book, and want to get a better sense of how I created it, please sign up on my Contact page. I'll email you The Rope Swing right away. (Please note that it's currently available in PDF format only, although ebook versions might be available in the future.) And regarding the mailing list, please know that I'll never share your contact information with a third party. And I'll only send you important notices...things like new book announcements, info about local book signings, etc. If you're like me--you get lots of email already, so I only plan on sharing the big stuff.

Check out the preview of The Rope Swing below.
